Gerina Stevenson, the Mexican mother from Rita Stevenson Stevenson and Alan Stevenson Stevenson, is birthed in Mexico. She has Mexican family roots but is American by nationality. She has always been an avid sportsperson. Gerina began playing golf at the age of fifteen. Gerina went to Goddard High School. While in high school, she won New Mexico's state golf tournament. As a volleyball player, she participated in state championships. In 2003 she started studying at the University of Texas. Through her senior year she was the winner of every competition she entered. While in her undergrad years she received an award for Conference USA Individual Champion Player of the Year Award and UTEP Female athlete of the year.
