Nadia and Carol
Nadia Comaneci is a Romanian gymnast (born on the 12th of November, 1961, in Gheorghe Gheorghiu Dej (now Onestiin Gheorghe Gheorghiu dej, now Onesti Romania). She was the first gymnast to score a perfect 10 at an Olympic event. Bela Karalyi discovered Comaneci at the age of six. She later became Romania's gymnastics instructor. She competed for the very first time in the 1969 junior national championships, finishing 13th. The following year she took home the title of champion. Three gold medals were awarded in her first event in a junior pre-Olympic meeting in 1972, which was a communist bloc countries. In 1973 and 1974, she became the junior all-around champion. In addition, she won four gold and one silver medals in the first competition of her senior level that took place in 1975. This was her first time she had competed as an adult. The American Cup was hers to win. American Cup in New York City in 1976 becoming the first woman to attempt backward double salto as a dismount from the uneven parallel bars. Carol Wayne.........................Carol Wayne was an American film and TV actor best recognized for portraying Art Fern's Tea-Time Movie Lady on The Tonight Show Starring Johnny Carson. The actress began her career as an entertainment professional during her teens, when she was an ice skating duo along with the sibling Nina Wayne for the travelling entertainment program Ice Capades. Carol Marie Wayne, born in Chicago Illinois US on 6 September 1942. Carol started her entertainment career in her teens. She started her career as a figure skater performing with her younger twin sister Nina Wayne as part of the show that was a traveling spectacle known as Ice Capades. They featured ice-skating shows that were performed accompanied by theatrical music.
